Logan Paul Enters Elimination Chamber Amidst Chaos
Logan Paul has officially entered the Men's Elimination Chamber match after a chaotic turn of events on SmackDown. WWE analyst Big E discusses the implications, the brutal nature of the chamber, and the other high-stakes matches on the card.
Logan Paul Enters Elimination Chamber Amidst Chaos
The road to WrestleMania just got a whole lot more unpredictable. Last night’s SmackDown delivered a seismic shift, with Jay Uso being attacked and sent away in an ambulance, forcing a last-minute change to the Men’s Elimination Chamber match. In his place, Logan Paul will now enter the brutal structure, a move that has sent shockwaves through the WWE universe.
The dramatic turn of events saw Jacob Fatu and Logan Paul set to compete for Uso’s spot. However, the match descended into chaos when a masked man, later revealed to be WWE Undisputed Champion Drew McIntyre, interfered. This interference ultimately led to Paul securing the victory and his coveted spot in the Elimination Chamber.
WWE analyst Big E, joining SportsCenter, weighed in on the unfolding drama. “Well, we went into the night thinking that Jay Uso was going to be in the Elimination Chamber match and uh then very quickly after Smackdown, we realized that spot is going to be taken by Logan Paul,” Big E stated. He also noted that Bronson Reed, initially considered a potential contender, is now out due to a torn biceps.
Paul’s Championship Aspirations
With Logan Paul now officially in the Elimination Chamber, Big E believes he has a genuine chance to win. “But now with Logan Paul in the match, I think he has a real opportunity to win this match and then go on to WrestleMania to potentially face Drew McIntyre for the World Championship,” he explained. This potential showdown between Paul and McIntyre at WrestleMania is now a very real possibility, adding another layer of intrigue to the upcoming event.
The Elimination Chamber’s Brutal Appeal
The Elimination Chamber, known for its unforgiving nature, is more than just a match; it’s a spectacle of endurance and brutality. Big E, a former participant and winner in 2015, highlighted what makes the match so special. “There’s just the added element of all the danger. You have the pods. You have the great. It is a very brutal structure,” he said. “It’s also our last PLE before WrestleMania. So, there’s so much on the line. There’s so many stakes.” The memory of The New Day’s victory, even if a particular moment Big E wished for didn’t make the cut, underscores the historic significance of competing and winning within the chamber.
X-Factors Emerge in Both Chambers
As the fields for both the Men’s and Women’s Elimination Chamber matches are now set, Big E identified key ‘X-factors’ who could make a significant impact.
- Men’s Division: “The youth movement, man. Javon Evans. If you have not seen Javon Evans in the ring, this dude is special. He is electric. We also have Trip Williams as well. A couple newcomers on the men’s side for the Elimination Chamber match. And I think they’re they’re two guys who are really going to make a statement here tonight.”
- Women’s Division: “On the women’s side, uh we also have Kiana James who was new new to the match as well. But I think Ria Ripley is probably uh chalk right now. She is the odds on favorite to win the women’s elimination chamber. Uh but I know I’m excited because I think there’s there’s Oscar as well. Uh there’s a lot of talent in this match. Tiffany Stratton, a former world champion as well. Uh so this field I think is pretty stacked on the women’s side as well.”
Championship Showdowns Add to the Stakes
Beyond the chamber matches, two significant championship bouts are set to take place, adding even more weight to the event.
- Women’s Intercontinental Championship: Becky Lynch will defend her title against AJ Lee. “We haven’t seen AJ in a singles title match in about a decade. Someone who has really been a pioneer in our industry,” Big E noted. “She just returned last year and I know there’s going to be a ton of excitement to see her return. And then we have Becky Lynch on the other side. Arguably the greatest woman to ever step foot into a WWE ring. Uh so this feels like two people who were pioneers in different eras now clashing at Elimination Chamber.”
- World Championship Implications: CM Punk will put his title on the line against Finn Balor. The pressure is immense, especially with the anticipated Roman Reigns vs. CM Punk match at WrestleMania looming. “There’s all this pressure to have Roman and Punk at WrestleMania, but Punk has to get through this match first,” Big E cautioned. “So, I I think a lot of us were kind of scratching our heads, you know, wondering if Punk was was making a rash decision accepting this match before uh the huge Wrestlemania match that a lot of people have been anticipating for a very long time. But Finn Balor’s no slouch by any means. So, let’s not just pencil in CM Punk going to Wrestlemania as world champion. He has to get through Finn Balor in his hometown of Chicago first.”
With championship gold on the line and the unpredictable nature of the Elimination Chamber itself, the upcoming event promises to be a thrilling prelude to WrestleMania.
