And now the next month after that, I’m getting drafted and things just kept happening and happening,” Braun recounted. I need to play really good defense on whoever I’m guarding and I need to make a layup when they throw it to me and if I make a three that’s even bigger.”

This straightforward approach allowed him to focus on his contributions without succumbing to the immense spotlight. “You did it well. Like you you impacted the game,” he acknowledged, reflecting on his performance. This mindset was particularly crucial during his rookie season, where he aimed to make a tangible impact through his defensive intensity and efficient offense.
