A Town’s Water Supply Turned Deadly

On December 1st, 1999, a small restaurant owner in southwestern China named Lihao faced a barrage of complaints. Customers were disgusted by his food, calling it unfit for pigs.

This wasn’t an isolated incident; his restaurant was the tenth to report such issues that day. Lihao felt overwhelmed, unsure of the cause for the terrible taste plaguing his business.

He discovered the problem wasn’t with his chef or recipes. Other restaurants in the area were experiencing the same issue.

They all realized they shared a common supplier for one crucial ingredient: their water. This shared source became the focus of their concern.

Yang Guayo, an employee of the water supplier, was sent to investigate the storage facility. He climbed to the top of a tall concrete water tower, expecting to find signs of contamination, perhaps from rodents.

Instead, he found a large canvas bag inside the dark room. As he poked it, something fell out, and the horrifying realization hit him: a human head had been in the bag.

The police were called, and the grim discovery revealed a disturbing truth. The town’s water supply had been contaminated for two weeks by a decomposing corpse.

The body belonged to a man murdered by an organized crime group. The three perpetrators were apprehended, convicted, and sentenced to death for their crime.

Shaman’s Vision Leads to a Killer

In Malaysia, on March 5th, 1958, a 22-year-old named Casim Bin Osman, a respected local shaman, was visited by four men. Their leader, Koren, explained his wife had gone missing the previous night. Casim, though hesitant as he had no experience finding missing persons, agreed to try and help.

Casim led the men in a ritual, inhaling smoke from burning charcoal to clear his mind. He experienced a vision of an endless, light green field.

This vision guided them to a large rice paddy on the edge of town. There, hidden under straw, they found Koren’s wife’s body, covered in blood.

Detective JC Saboui began investigating the death, which was determined to be a beating. Koren suggested his wife, who was missing her jewelry, might have been robbed.

Saboui found Koren’s story of his wife taking a late-night walk unlikely and suspected the husband. After four days with no leads, Saboui, desperate, asked Casim for further help.

Casim performed another ritual, leading Saboui on a house-to-house search. Hours later, Casim stopped at a particular house, declaring the missing jewelry was inside.

To Saboui’s surprise, the jewelry was indeed found there. The shock came when they realized the house belonged to Casim himself.

The investigation revealed Casim had attacked and killed Koren’s wife as she passed his home. He stole her jewelry and hid her body, attempting to use his shamanistic abilities to create an alibi. His plan failed; he confessed and was convicted of murder, receiving a death sentence.

A Sister’s Vengeance Unleashed

On August 22nd, 1974, in Hong Kong, Leo Fun sat with his family at his sister Leu Fumin’s funeral. The 34-year-old had been found strangled in a hotel room, her face gruesomely disfigured. Her killer had removed her eyebrows, eyelids, nose, and lips, leaving her appearing to stare with glassy eyes and a morbid smile.

The media’s sensational coverage and the police’s failure to make an arrest deeply upset Fun. He felt his sister was being treated as a spectacle, not a victim.

During the funeral service, as mourners said their goodbyes, Fun approached the coffin, pulled out a large knife, and plunged it into the wood. He believed this ancient Taoist ritual would release his sister’s spirit to seek revenge.

The following evening, a police officer discovered a man severely injured in an alleyway, appearing to have fallen from a great height. The man, barely alive, claimed a woman had pushed him. When questioned at the hospital, he described a horrifying figure with glassy eyes, a toothy grin, and no facial features – a perfect description of the murdered Leu Fumin.

The police were baffled, knowing Fumin was dead. However, they connected the injured man’s confession to Leo Fun’s ritual.

The man admitted he was Fumin’s killer, stating she had rejected his marriage proposal. Fumin’s killer was arrested, convicted of manslaughter, and sentenced to 10 years in prison, his crime seemingly brought to light by a vengeful spirit.
