Liv Morgan Focused on Stephanie Vaquer, Sidesteps Dominik Marriage Question

WrestleMania 42 is just around the corner, and the buzz is palpable. As the wrestling world gears up for the massive event in Las Vegas, top stars are making their final preparations. In a recent interview, Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan addressed her upcoming title defense and skillfully dodged a personal question about her relationship with Dominik Mysterio.

Morgan is set to face Stephanie Vaquer for the Women’s World Championship on Night One of WrestleMania. Vaquer has been on an impressive streak, seeking her fifth consecutive win at a premium live event. Morgan, however, is confident, drawing on her 12 years of experience in WWE to prepare for the challenge.

Morgan’s Road to WrestleMania

Liv Morgan enters WrestleMania with a significant opportunity to add to her legacy. As a Royal Rumble winner, she has a strong track record, with five of the last eight Rumble winners going on to become champions at the grandest stage of them all. During the interview, one of the interviewers, Gary, relayed a question from an ESPN researcher, referred to as “a mean.” The question pointed out Morgan’s 1-6 WrestleMania record and asked how that changes her approach against the undefeated Vaquer.

Morgan quickly dismissed the question, stating, “A mean, it doesn’t change this weekend. And you want to know why? Because I’ve been in WWE for 12 years, not Stephanie Vaquer.

I know the WWE ring. This is actually my house. This is where I am going to thrive.” She even called the question “stupid” and “dumb,” prompting an apology from the interviewer on behalf of the researcher.

The Dominik Mysterio Question

The interview took a personal turn when the topic shifted to Dominik Mysterio, who is also competing at WrestleMania. Gary brought up the idea of a “summer marriage club” and suggested that if both Morgan and Mysterio win their respective matches, they could celebrate by getting married, especially with chapels readily available in Las Vegas.

When asked if she would say yes if Dominik proposed, Morgan gave a coy response. “I don’t think he has cold feet. I just think, you know, timing is of importance.

But, if Dominik did ask me, I would not say no. We love love. We love love,” she stated, leaving the possibility open but keeping her focus firmly on her championship aspirations.

Undisputed WWE Championship and Other Matches

The Undisputed WWE Championship match between Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton was also discussed. Corey Graves noted that while Pat McAfee has dominated the headlines, Cody Rhodes might be “preoccupied” with McAfee. Graves warned that if Rhodes underestimates the “Viper, Randy Orton,” a 14-time world heavyweight champion, it could lead to a “bad night at the office” for the “American Nightmare.”

Another significant match highlighted is the unsanctioned bout between Drew McIntyre and Jey Uso, described as a confrontation between two of the most “powerful, dangerous, and downright sadistic superstars on the roster.” The match is expected to have “no limit to what we see” at Allegiant Stadium.
