Intelligence Chief Reveals Impeachment Scheme

Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard has released new documents shedding light on the 2019 impeachment proceedings against former President Donald Trump. These documents suggest the whistleblower who initiated the process did not have firsthand knowledge of the phone call in question. The intelligence community’s inspector general’s investigation was also reportedly limited, with some involved individuals holding anti-Trump sentiments.

Gabbard stated that these revelations show members of the intelligence community worked with House Democrats, specifically Adam Schiff, to create a false narrative. This narrative, she claims, was used to build a case for impeachment against Trump.

The whistleblower reportedly only had secondhand information about the call between Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Another witness also lacked firsthand knowledge and was involved in a previous assessment related to the Trump administration.

The inspector general himself admitted to Congress that he did not review the transcript of the phone call and lacked evidence for his referral to the Department of Justice. The DOJ reportedly found no grounds for further action.

Despite this, House Democrats proceeded with impeachment. Gabbard has since sent criminal referrals to the Department of Justice based on her findings.

Gabbard emphasized the importance of exposing such tactics, stating that the truth should always be revealed to the American people. She believes these actions undermine democratic principles and the voters’ will. She also noted that the inspector general changed the standard for credible complaints, allowing hearsay instead of requiring firsthand knowledge or evidence, which she argues was a deliberate move to advance a manufactured narrative.

Politicians and Intelligence Agencies

The interview also touched on the appropriateness of politicians working with the intelligence community during impeachment inquiries. Gabbard stated clearly that it is not appropriate.

She pointed to the whistleblower’s decision to go directly to Adam Schiff and his team, rather than the inspector general, as evidence of politicized intelligence. She also mentioned that Schiff had reportedly lied about his prior contact with the whistleblower.

Gabbard explained that her office has sent criminal referrals to the Department of Justice. While she is leaving the legal specifics to the DOJ, she believes exposing the truth is the first step toward accountability.

She is tasked with removing political influence from the intelligence community, and she sees this report as shining a light on tactics that can be used again. She asserted that the critics’ responses often highlight their own culpability in such matters.

Congressional Ethics and Accountability

The program also addressed allegations against former Congressman Eric Swalwell. A tip line has been established for reporting sexual misconduct, following accusations of rape made by two women. Representative Anna Paulina Luna has been a vocal advocate for transparency in this matter and previously pushed for Swalwell’s expulsion.

Luna stated that Swalwell’s resignation came amid pressure from members who did not want to be associated with him before the midterms. She also mentioned that his staff contacted her office, asking her not to withdraw the expulsion motion until he had officially resigned, indicating a lack of trust. Luna believes Swalwell faces multiple criminal investigations, including potential issues related to leaking classified information, and that the FBI had previously cautioned him about this.

The discussion also covered a congressional fund used to settle sexual harassment claims. Luna expressed frustration that a motion to expose details of this fund was initially voted down by a majority of Congress.

However, after a speech highlighting the case of a member whose staffer died by suicide following alleged harassment, the motion eventually passed in House Oversight. Luna wants records going up to the present day, not just those ending in 2017.

Regarding other members facing allegations, Luna stated she would vote to expel any member with evidence of criminal misconduct or ethics violations, regardless of party affiliation. She believes individuals should face consequences for their actions, stating, “You’re an adult, you made a bed, now you sleep in it.”

Campus Antisemitism and Elite Universities

Congresswoman Elise Stefanik discussed the issue of antisemitism on college campuses, referencing her own testimony that gained significant attention. She criticized elite universities for inviting speakers like Hassan, who has made controversial statements, including those perceived as antisemitic and supportive of Hamas, while simultaneously canceling conservative speakers.

Stefanik’s new book, “Poisoned Ivy’s,” explores what she calls the “academic and moral rot” at elite universities. She argues these institutions have become dens of political indoctrination, disconnected from their founding principles and American values. The testimony of university presidents who struggled to answer whether calling for the genocide of Jews violates their conduct codes was a turning point.

The book also examines the role of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives, foreign funding, and radical faculty in these issues. Stefanik noted that parents and students are increasingly choosing other universities, leading to higher applications at institutions focused more on academic excellence. She also linked New York City Mayor Eric Adams’ policies to the influence of anti-American ideology, citing his father’s professorship and his own upbringing.

AI and Taxation Discussed

Former presidential candidate Andrew Yang briefly discussed the future of Artificial Intelligence (AI). He also commented on Eric Swalwell’s withdrawal from the California gubernatorial race and his past presidential run against both Swalwell and Tom Steyer. Yang described Swalwell as a “lightweight” and a “competent partisan messenger” whose near-candidacy for governor was stunning.

The show also touched on tax day, with Yang calling it “throw tea into the harbor day.” He questioned why Americans’ hard work is taxed, attributing it to government greed. He cited Virginia’s increased general revenue and New York City’s proposed tax hikes as examples of government spending. Yang presented data suggesting the top 1% of earners already pay a significantly higher average income tax rate than the bottom half of taxpayers.

Yang concluded that the issue is not low taxes but excessive government spending on wasteful programs. The segment also briefly mentioned allegations of fraud at an addiction recovery center in Minnesota, for which Congresswoman Ilhan Omar had earmarked federal funds. Republican senators are reportedly seeking a DOJ investigation into this matter.
