Ukraine Reports Significant Air Defense Successes Amidst Ongoing Conflict

He outlined a clear strategy for achieving peace, emphasizing the need for the international community to halt Russian oil and other energy resources, alongside targeting Russian banks. “The recipe is clear to everyone in the world. Russia will stop the war even on its own accord when the world finally halts Russian oil, other Russian energy resources and Russian banks.” President Zelenskyy stressed that global sanctions must be effectively implemented to foster genuine and lasting peace.

Energy Security and Future Resilience

In parallel with security and diplomatic efforts, President Zelenskyy addressed the critical issue of energy security. He detailed discussions with Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal regarding the preparation of a comprehensive energy recovery strategy and an updated energy defense plan for the upcoming winter. The strategy is slated for finalization and approval by March 1st, intended to facilitate collaboration with the European Commission, European nations, the United States, global businesses, and Ukrainian companies.

The goal is to bolster resilience and enhance energy capabilities in anticipation of potential future Russian strikes on infrastructure and cities. The president highlighted the importance of incorporating the positive experiences gained by Ukrainian cities and communities in navigating the current winter, emphasizing the need for regional preparedness.
