Liv Morgan Vows Revenge at WrestleMania

WrestleMania week has arrived, and WWE Superstar Liv Morgan is ready. She’s in Las Vegas, but she’s not just there to enjoy the show. Morgan is focused on her upcoming match against Stephanie Vaquer. Vaquer recently attacked Morgan on Raw, leaving a nasty welt on her forehead. The injury is clearly visible, a stark reminder of Vaquer’s aggressive tactics.

Real Pain, Real Stakes

When asked about the attack, Morgan dismissed any notions of wrestling being fake. “You cannot fake this bruising. You cannot fake this swelling,” she stated, emphasizing the physical reality of her injury. Despite the pain, Morgan is recovering well and even managed a lighthearted jab, saying Vaquer is “so lucky that I’m still pretty.”

A Champion’s Ambition

Stephen A. Smith pressed Morgan on her plans for revenge. Morgan was direct: “I’m going to beat her at WrestleMania. I’m going to win the women’s world champion and become the three-time greatest women’s world champion of all time.” This isn’t just about winning; it’s about cementing her legacy.

“What I’m asking you I know you’re going to win. I know that’s what you’re aiming to do. I’m asking other than beat her. I mean, I’m asking what do you intend to do to her? There’s a difference.”

When pushed further about what specific actions she plans to take against Vaquer, beyond just winning the match, Morgan kept her cards close to her chest. “You are going to have to watch me at WrestleMania to find out just like everyone else,” she teased, promising a memorable performance.

Years in the Making

This will be Morgan’s eighth WrestleMania match. Reflecting on her journey, she sees this opportunity as “11 years in the making.” The presence of her entire family in the audience will make the win even more significant. For Morgan, a victory at this WrestleMania will personally make it “the greatest WrestleMania of all time.”

WWE’s Evolving Landscape

Morgan also spoke about the incredible progress of WWE, especially for women’s wrestling. She noted how much the sport has changed over the last decade, with major credit given to Triple H and Nick Khan. “WWE is on such a amazing hot streak right now,” she said, pointing to recent developments like streaming on Netflix and major events on ESPN.

Morgan started her WWE career during the “women’s revolution.” She has seen firsthand how women’s participation has grown, moving from short matches to main-eventing WrestleMania. She feels honored to be part of a company that recognizes and rewards what fans want to see: women in WWE. “I am so honored to be a part of a company that, you know, progresses and takes notice of what the people watch and what they like which is women in WWE,” Morgan stated.

Footwear for the Fight

Known for her love of sneakers, Morgan confirmed her choice of footwear for WrestleMania. After wearing Jordans for her Royal Rumble win, she plans to wear her ASICS amateur wrestling shoes for her upcoming match. “I’m going to wear my ASICS, my amateur wrestling shoes. I’m going to be comfortable,” she explained. While she hinted that the shoes might have “a little bling on them or something,” her priority is comfort and readiness. “I got to be ready to kick some butt really so I’m not going to do anything fancy. I’m going to stick to the basics, stick to what I know works and those are my little ASICS.”

Fans are eager to see Liv Morgan in action at WrestleMania, where she aims to not only win the championship but also deliver a message to Stephanie Vaquer.
