Dominik Mysterio Targets His Own Father at WrestleMania

WrestleMania 42 is almost here, and the stars are ready to shine in Las Vegas! WWE’s biggest event is spread over two nights, Saturday and Sunday. You can catch all the action live on ESPN. Coverage kicks off Saturday at 6 PM Eastern on ESPN2, with Sunday’s show on ESPN.

Dominik vs. The Demon Finn Balor: A Grudge Match

One of the most talked-about stars in WWE right now, Dominik Mysterio, joined us to discuss his upcoming match. He’s set to face his former Judgment Day teammate, Finn Balor. Dominik made it clear this fight is personal. “I’ve grown up with Finn Balor in this business,” Dominik explained. He recalled how Balor was with him before he went ‘bad,’ and then Balor helped turn Dominik to the ‘bad side’ himself.

Now, Dominik feels Balor has gotten too big for his britches. “He got a little too ahead of himself now I got to go in on Sunday and handle business,” Dominik stated. He knows Finn Balor is a dangerous opponent, calling him “one of the best in the world.” But this Sunday, Balor isn’t just Balor; he’s “The Demon Finn Balor.” This transformation takes him to “a whole ‘nother level,” according to Dominik. He admitted he doesn’t know exactly what he needs to bring, but he knows it has to be something special to face the Demon.

Proving a Point: No Leaders in Judgment Day

Beyond just winning, Dominik sees this match as a chance to prove a point about The Judgment Day. The group has always said they don’t have leaders, and everyone is equal. Dominik believes they had to kick Finn Balor out because he was trying to be the leader and call unnecessary shots. “So, on Sunday I’m going to go in there and handle business for the Judgment Day just to prove that there was never any leaders and we all are equal leaders in the group,” Dominik declared.

A Shocking Wish for Dad Rey Mysterio

Then, the conversation turned to family, specifically Dominik’s legendary father, Rey Mysterio. Rey is also competing in a high-stakes ladder match at WrestleMania. When asked what goes through his mind seeing his father in such a dangerous match, Dominik’s response was blunt and shocking. “I hope he goes through a couple ladders,” he said with a grin. He even joked about his custody papers being in the match, wanting to win them so his dad can never claim custody again. “Yeah, I definitely hope he goes through a couple ladders for sure,” Dominik added.

Liv Morgan vs. Stephanie Vaquer: A Must-See Bout

Dominik also shared what other matches he’s excited to watch. He’s particularly looking forward to the showdown between Liv Morgan and Stephanie Vaquer. These two have been feuding intensely on Monday nights, and Dominik expects an incredible performance. “I know they are going to absolutely go in there and just put on a show,” he said. He even predicted Liv Morgan would walk out as the new Women’s World Champion.

WrestleMania: The Super Bowl of Entertainment

For fans new to the world of professional wrestling, Dominik offered a clear picture of what WrestleMania is all about. He compared it to the Super Bowl, but even bigger because it lasts for two nights. “It is the biggest spectacle, the biggest show,” he emphasized. He highlighted the performers’ over-the-top gear, entrances, and the overall energy.

“It’s honestly a one-of-a-kind experience and you can’t miss it for anything in the world,” Dominik concluded. He will be right in the middle of all the excitement this weekend. Dominik Mysterio, thanks for joining us and good luck at WrestleMania!
