Trump Declares “Epic Fury” Operation Crushes Iran’s Military

In a national address Tuesday evening, President Donald Trump declared that the U.S. military operation against Iran, dubbed “Epic Fury,” has achieved swift and overwhelming victories. He stated that Iran’s navy is destroyed, its air force is in ruins, and its leadership is decimated. The operation, which began just one month prior, aims to dismantle Iran’s ability to threaten the United States and project power globally.

“Decisive, Overwhelming Victories” Achieved

President Trump began his address by congratulating NASA and astronauts on the successful Artemis II launch. He then turned to the military campaign against Iran, describing it as a response to the world’s leading state sponsor of terror. “In these past four weeks our armed forces have delivered swift, decisive, overwhelming victories on the battlefield,” Trump stated. He detailed the alleged destruction of Iran’s naval and air forces, the death of much of its leadership, and the crippling of its missile capabilities. “Never in the history of warfare has an enemy suffered such clear and devastating large-scale losses in a matter of weeks,” he claimed.

Venezuela Operation Highlights Energy Independence

The President also briefly touched upon the successful operation in Venezuela, which he said took only minutes. He explained that the U.S. is now working with Venezuela as partners in oil and gas production. “We don’t need their oil. We don’t need anything they have, but we’re there to help our allies,” Trump said. This move, he suggested, contributes to America’s energy independence and strengthens its economic position.

Long-Standing Stance Against Nuclear Iran

Trump reiterated his long-standing vow, made since his 2015 presidential campaign, to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons. He cited Iran’s repeated chants of “death to America” and “death to Israel” over 47 years, as well as its alleged involvement in attacks that killed American service members, including the 1983 Beirut barracks bombing and the USS Cole attack. He also referenced the October 7th attacks in Israel and the killing of 45,000 Iranian protesters by their own regime. “For these terrorists to have nuclear weapons would be an intolerable threat,” Trump asserted, warning of a “nuclear shield” enabling global terror.

Previous Actions and the Iran Nuclear Deal

The President highlighted actions taken during his previous terms to counter Iran’s nuclear ambitions. He mentioned the killing of General Qasem Soleimani, whom he called an “evil genius” and the “father of the roadside bomb.” More significantly, he spoke about terminating what he called “Barack Hussein Obama’s Iran nuclear deal,” a pact he described as a disaster. He criticized the previous administration for giving Iran $1.7 billion in cash, believing it would buy respect, but claiming it only emboldened Iran’s pursuit of nuclear weapons. Trump argued that without his termination of the deal, Iran would have possessed nuclear weapons years ago, leading to a vastly different and more dangerous world, potentially jeopardizing the existence of Israel.

Operation Midnight Hammer and Epic Fury Objectives

Trump revealed that in June, he ordered a strike on Iran’s key nuclear facilities in an operation called “Midnight Hammer,” using B-2 bombers. When Iran attempted to rebuild its nuclear program elsewhere, he stated, it became clear they intended to pursue nuclear weapons and develop long-range missiles capable of reaching the U.S. homeland and Europe. This led to the launch of “Operation Epic Fury.” Its objectives, according to the President, are to systematically dismantle Iran’s ability to threaten America, eliminate its navy, cripple its air force and missile program, and annihilate its defense industrial base. “We’ve done all of it. Their navy is gone, their air force is gone,” Trump declared.

Honoring Fallen Warriors and Allied Support

The President acknowledged the sacrifice of 13 American warriors who lost their lives in the conflict. He spoke of visiting Dover Air Force Base to be with the families of these fallen heroes. “Their loved ones said, please, sir, please finish the job. Every one of them. And we are going to finish the job, and we’re going to finish it very fast,” he vowed. Trump also thanked allies in the Middle East, including Israel, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the UAE, Kuwait, and Bahrain, for their support.

Addressing Gasoline Prices and Economic Strength

Trump addressed concerns about rising gasoline prices, attributing the short-term increase to “deranged terror attacks” by the Iranian regime against commercial oil tankers. He asserted that the United States has never been better prepared economically, citing a strong economy built on his administration’s policies, record investments, and a booming stock market. He emphasized that America is the number one producer of oil and gas, producing more than Saudi Arabia and Russia combined, and therefore does not need to import oil through the Strait of Hormuz. He suggested that countries dependent on oil passing through the Strait should take responsibility for its protection.

Future Actions and Regime Change

Looking ahead, Trump stated that America’s military objectives are nearing completion and that the operation is on track to finish shortly. He warned that if no “deal” is made, the U.S. will hit Iran’s electric generating plants and potentially its oil facilities, which he described as an easy target. He noted that while regime change was not an initial goal, it has effectively occurred due to the death of original leaders, resulting in a “less radical and much more reasonable” new group. He projected that within two to three weeks, Iran will be brought back to the “Stone Ages.” He concluded by stating that once the conflict is over, the Strait of Hormuz will naturally reopen, allowing Iran to sell oil and rebuild, leading to a rapid decrease in gas prices and a rise in stock prices.

A Safer, Stronger America

President Trump concluded his address by emphasizing the historical context of American military involvement, contrasting the 32-day operation against Iran with longer conflicts like World War I, World War II, the Korean War, Vietnam, and Iraq. He portrayed Iran as no longer a threat and the operation as an investment in the future. The President expressed confidence that upon completion, the United States will be safer, stronger, more prosperous, and greater than ever before. He asked for God’s blessing on the U.S. Armed Forces and the nation.
