Blind Coach Inspires Teens with Grit and Determination
Dez Scrugs, a basketball coach who is legally blind, is inspiring his middle school team with a message of grit and determination. Despite losing his vision at 14, Scrugs found a way to stay in the game, now coaching the Pleasant Hill Middle School Panthers. He teaches his players the importance of focus, intentionality, and dedication, using his own journey as proof that obstacles can be overcome.
