However, Stephen A. Smith unleashed a blistering critique of General Manager Omar Khan, questioning his tenure and ability to find a long-term solution at quarterback. “Could you PLEASE do your job, please?” Smith implored. “You’ve been the general manager for the Pittsburgh Steelers for the last four years. How much time do you need to go out there and find a quarterback?” Smith pointed to the team’s consistent 9-8 or 10-7 records, three consecutive Wild Card round exits, and a failure to win a playoff game during Khan’s tenure. He lamented the team’s ongoing search for a quarterback, listing names like Kyler Murray, Mitchell Trubisky, Russell Wilson, and Justin Fields as potential, yet seemingly elusive, targets.

Woody suggested that the Steelers might need a complete overhaul. “If I’m the Pittsburgh Steelers, when Tomlin went out the door, everyone else should have went out the door. Like, start the whole thing over again because honestly, that’s what the Pittsburgh Steelers need.” He pointed to an “old and expensive defense,” a lack of a clear number two receiver, and an average offensive line as further challenges.
