Sisters Frankie and Morgan Price are bringing a powerful legacy to the Arkansas gymnastics team, inspired by their late father. Their journey together on the mat is a tribute to his memory and a testament to their unbreakable bond.
Sisters Frankie and Morgan Price Bring Priceless Spark to Arkansas Gymnastics
The Arkansas Razorbacks gymnastics team has a special kind of magic this season, and it’s coming from a familiar place: sisterhood. Frankie and Morgan Price, two talented athletes, are not just teammates; they are a powerful duo on the floor, carrying a legacy that goes far beyond the sport. Their journey is deeply connected to their father, Chris Price, whose memory continues to inspire their every move.
A Legacy of Love and Motorcycles
Chris Price was a man who loved life, and his passion for Harley-Davidson motorcycles was a big part of that. He didn’t just own bikes; he loved showing them off, finding joy in the pride and honor that came with them. His daughters, Frankie and Morgan, remember him as a loving father who always had a big smile, even when his loud motorcycles made them cover their ears. He would always wave goodbye, a simple gesture that meant the world to them.
But their father’s life was tragically cut short. On August 6, 2009, Chris left for a motorcycle event near Atlanta. Frankie was just six years old, and Morgan was only four. Before he left, Chris told them something he had never said before: “If anything ever happens, just know that I had a really good ride.” A few hours later, he lost control of his motorcycle and passed away before reaching the hospital. Chris Price was only 36.
“It was definitely the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do. Telling the girls what had happened. That was the next hardest thing. Tell them that daddy wasn’t coming home.”
Finding Strength in Sisterhood and Sport
The loss of their father was devastating. Yet, Frankie and Morgan found a way to move forward, leaning on each other and the sport they loved. Their father’s memory became a driving force. As Morgan put it, “My why is representing my last name. It really comes from my dad.” They knew he would want them to strive for excellence.
Frankie joined the Arkansas team in 2022 but faced challenges with injuries, including a ruptured Achilles during the 2025 NCAA tournament. Meanwhile, Morgan made history at Fisk University, becoming the first HBCU gymnast to achieve a perfect 10. With one year of eligibility left for both sisters, they decided to bring their talents together.
A Priceless Reunion on the Mat
The decision to compete together for their final college season at Arkansas as Razorbacks was a powerful one. “After my injuries, I had to take a step back and focus on my why. And that goes back to my dad because I know that he would want me to push through the hard times and do what I can to represent being a Price Girl,” Frankie shared. Morgan added, “I set and reached all my goals that I wanted to at Fisk. And so I was like, you know what, for my last year, I really want to challenge myself and I want to compete with the best of the best.”
Having the Price sisters on the same team has given the Arkansas program an undeniable boost. Coach described their presence as bringing an “extra level of confidence” to the team. Their bond is evident, and the team values sisterhood, which Frankie and Morgan embody perfectly.
Looking Towards Nationals
The Price sisters are more than just talented gymnasts; they are a symbol of resilience, family, and the enduring power of love. Their success on the mat is a tribute to their father’s legacy. While they wish he could be there to see them compete, they feel his presence and know he is incredibly proud.
“Being able to excel at what they do is an honor to Chris and to his legacy,” the transcript notes. “It’s like bittersweet cuz obviously we wish he could be here with us, but we know that he’s always watching over us and just super proud of everything that we have all three accomplished.” The team’s goal is clear: make it to nationals and win a national championship, doing it all together as a family.
