Epstein Files Unearth New Accusations Against Trump
The deposition of Bill and Hillary Clinton in the Epstein investigation has ignited controversy, with focus shifting to alleged cover-ups and missing FBI files related to Donald Trump. While Republicans push for transparency, Democrats accuse the DOJ of a "White House cover up" and demand the release of all Epstein-related documents. Børge Brende, head of the World Economic Forum, resigned amid his own Epstein connections.
Clintons Deposed Amidst Renewed Epstein Investigation Scrutiny
In Chappaqua, New York, a significant development in the ongoing Jeffrey Epstein investigation unfolded as former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton underwent deposition. This event, orchestrated by MAGA Republicans, has reportedly backfired, drawing intense media focus not on the Clintons, but on allegations of a cover-up involving Donald Trump and accusations of sexual assault against minors.
Questions Emerge Over Missing FBI Records
During the proceedings, reporters pressed MAGA Republican representatives present about the alleged cover-up. James Comer, when questioned about concerns regarding missing FBI 302 interviews related to accusations of sexual abuse of a minor by President Trump, stated, “We don’t know the answer to that. We know what the administration says. We’re still looking to get a definitive answer on that.” This response fueled further inquiry into why the Clintons were being deposed, especially when their names were reportedly not prominent in the initial files.
“What about Howard Lutnik? Why isn’t Howard Lutnik’s deposition taking place?” was a question posed, with James Comer suggesting, “It’s a good possibility that his name will arise in some questioning today. It’ll be on my list and I have an email I printed off for Hillary to ask about Howard Lutnik today.”
Comer also highlighted that Alex Acosta and Bill Barr, both Republicans from the Trump administration, had already been deposed, emphasizing that the investigation aimed for transparency regarding anyone with knowledge of the Epstein investigation, acknowledging that “the government failed the victims.”
Garcia Demands Release of Remaining Epstein Files
Democratic Congressman Jesus “Chuy” Garcia held a press conference outside the deposition site, demanding that the Department of Justice release all remaining files related to the Epstein investigation. He specifically called for the disclosure of new files containing serious accusations against President Trump regarding abuse suffered by a survivor when she was a minor.
“But I also want to say, which I think is very important, that at this very moment, the Department of Justice continues to lead a White House cover up. And we’re going to be demanding even over these next few days that the remaining files that have not been released get released to the public. And that includes new files that were just discovered in the last couple days of a survivor that has made serious accusations and allegations against not just Jeffrey Epstein, but also against President Trump and about abuse that she suffered when she was a minor.”
Garcia asserted that the FBI files clearly show that interviews and information surrounding this survivor have been removed and are missing, questioning who removed them and demanding answers. He stated that an additional 50% of files are missing, calling the situation “unconscionable” and “illegal.”
Subramanian Criticizes Partisan Approach and DOJ Accountability
Congressman Shri Thanedar also addressed the depositions, noting the presence of Republicans and the absence of any Republicans in Ohio to depose Les Wexler, who allegedly bankrolled Epstein’s fortune. He criticized the “partisan nature” of some Republicans’ approach to the investigation and their failure to hold the Department of Justice accountable for alleged law-breaking.
“We have no Republicans in Ohio to talk to Les Wexler who bankrolled the Epstein’s fortune for the most part and allowed a lot of his crimes to happen. Yet Hillary Clinton who maintains that she doesn’t recall meeting Jeffrey Epstein is here today. And we have a lot of Republicans here today. That underscores to me the partisan nature of what some of the Republicans on our committee and in Congress are doing and the way they’re approaching this investigation.”
Thanedar emphasized the Democrats’ commitment to a nonpartisan approach, seeking truth and justice for survivors, and ensuring such events never happen again, regardless of the perpetrators’ status.
WEF Chief Steps Down Amid Epstein Connections
In related news, Børge Brende, President and CEO of the World Economic Forum, announced his resignation following an independent investigation into his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein. Reports indicate Brend had met with Epstein multiple times, despite prior claims of not doing so. Files reportedly show Brend sent a thumbs-up emoji to a link of Epstein’s criminal sentence, and controversy also arose from them ridiculing Benjamin Netanyahu’s wife.
Fallon Defends Clinton Deposition, Cites Trump’s Record
Republican Congressman Pat Fallon defended the deposition of Bill Clinton, stating, “We’ve never had a former president this close to a convicted felon.” This statement was seen as a pivot to address Trump’s own legal issues, including being found civilly liable for sexual assault and his past controversial remarks about women.
“We’ve never had a former president either this close to a convicted felon either. I mean, it’s it’s problematic.”
Fallon also argued that there is substantial information about Donald Trump within the Epstein files, even without direct examination, referencing Trump’s own public statements and legal findings.
Shifting Focus to Geopolitics and Military Deployments
As the Epstein investigation continues to draw attention to Trump, a shift in focus was observed towards geopolitical issues. Discussions arose regarding the strategic importance of Greenland for North American security and potential military partnerships, with Interior Secretary Doug Bernhardt renewing calls to consider Greenland a vital asset. Additionally, calls for intensified action against the Cuban regime were voiced, alongside concerns about extended military deployments, such as the USS Gerald R. Ford, potentially stretching U.S. military resources thin.
Viewer Engagement and Political Polling
The narrative also touched upon viewership data for political events, noting a significant drop in ratings for Donald Trump’s State of the Union addresses compared to previous years. In contrast, the Midas Touch Network’s coverage of the State of the Union reportedly garnered over 2 million viewers. The segment concluded by highlighting a poll showing Democrats leading Republicans in the generic congressional ballot and the consistent top ranking of the Midas Touch podcast.
