Normally, a victim doesn’t have to wonder what’s happening, you know, where the perpetrator is, when the court dates are going to be. That’s just not how it works with an illegal alien criminal. There’s conflicting state and federal laws and the path just is not clear.

This highlights a major challenge: when the accused person is in the country illegally, the legal process can become very confusing. Different state and federal laws can clash, making it hard for victims to understand their rights or what to expect. The VOICE program steps in to help untangle this complex system.

Program Reach and Impact

Since the VOICE program was relaunched, it has received nearly 900 calls. These calls represent serious issues. About 32% of the reports involved violent assaults, while 15% were related to rape or sexual assault. Tragically, 9% of the calls were about homicides or manslaughters.

Those who spoke at the event thanked former President Trump for reviving the program. They also expressed gratitude to ICE for offering support during what they described as difficult and hard-to-understand situations.
