UFO Disclosure: Government Operatives Fueled Disinformation for Decades
Dr. Steven Greer warns that recent UAP disclosure efforts are hampered by decades of disinformation. He claims intelligence operatives have manipulated narratives and staged events to control public perception and justify black projects, urging caution against believing all information released.
UFO Disclosure: Government Operatives Fueled Disinformation for Decades
Whistleblower Claims Decades of Deception, Urges Caution on New Executive Order
The veil of secrecy surrounding Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP) may be lifting, but a prominent figure in the UFO disclosure movement is sounding a stark warning: the public must be vigilant against a deeply entrenched system of disinformation. Dr. Steven Greer, a retired physician and founder of the Disclosure Project, argues that while recent executive orders from the Trump administration signal a legitimate effort towards disclosure, the path is fraught with deliberate obfuscation and manipulation.
Speaking on the “Unveiled” podcast, Dr. Greer asserted that for decades, elements within the intelligence community and aerospace corporations have actively worked to control the narrative around UFOs. This, he claims, has involved staging hoaxes, manipulating presidents, and even weaponizing alleged extraterrestrial threats to justify massive military spending and maintain global control.
Executive Order Ignites Disclosure Hopes, But With Caveats
The recent executive order signed by President Trump, tasking Secretary of Defense Mark Esper (referred to as “Mr. Hegath” in the transcript, likely a mispronunciation of Esper or a placeholder), with investigating and potentially releasing UAP-related documents, has generated significant excitement. However, Dr. Greer contends that this order, while genuine in its intent, is insufficient on its own. He explains that the very systems tasked with investigating are compromised, having been infiltrated by operatives whose primary goal is to maintain the status quo of secrecy and control.
“The president has assigned to Mr. Hegath… to look into this and that is not a suggestion. It’s an executive order,” Dr. Greer stated. “But neither the president nor Mr. Hegath has access to any and all because most of these operations have been privatized into the corporate world beyond the reach of the president and beyond the reach of Mr. Hegath. Um, even though taxpayers have paid for it largely.”
A History of Deception: From Eisenhower to Obama
Dr. Greer traces this deep-seated deception back to the late 1950s, suggesting a “silent coup d’etat” occurred, placing UFO-related programs beyond the constitutional authority of the presidency. He recounts his own experiences providing briefings on the subject to administrations, including those of Bill Clinton and Barack Obama, only to find presidents blocked from accessing crucial information.
“I concluded, this is almost 33 years ago now, that the uh projects related to UFOs, the so-called legacy projects were unconstitutional and and were a RICO, criminal organization,” he explained. He highlighted former President Obama’s own public statements acknowledging knowledge of aliens but admitting his inability to access direct information, which Greer interprets as validation of this covert system.
The Epstein Files Connection and “Honeypot” Operations
The conversation also touched upon the controversial Epstein files and the potential for UFO disclosure to serve as a distraction. While Dr. Greer dismisses this as a primary motive, he suggests a tangential connection. He posits that the Jeffrey Epstein saga itself was a “honeypot” orchestrated by the intelligence community to ensnare and control powerful individuals in government and corporations. He claims to have knowledge of individuals within the intelligence community implicated in these files, creating a significant obstacle to genuine disclosure.
“Age of Deception”: A Case Study in Disinformation
Dr. Greer specifically called out the documentary “Age of Disclosure” (which he refers to as “Age of Deception”) as a prime example of sophisticated disinformation. He argues that such films, while containing kernels of truth, are designed to mislead by framing the narrative in a way that serves the interests of those perpetuating the cover-up. Key to this deception, he states, is the promotion of the idea that UFOs and potential extraterrestrial visitors pose a national security threat.
“The NHI aren’t the threat. The ETSs, the extraterrestrial civilizations aren’t. We can prove that by the fact you and I are still breathing the free air of Earth,” Dr. Greer asserted. “If they were that kind of a hostile threat like the way humans are. Number two, they leave out the fact that 80% or more of all the UFOs and UAPs seen are ours man-made.”
He further elaborated that many alleged alien encounters, abductions, and mutilations are, in fact, staged events using advanced, human-made craft and technology, a tactic he attributes to psychological warfare operations by the CIA and aerospace companies. He cited former Lockheed Skunk Works president Ben Rich’s alleged deathbed statement: “Anything you can imagine, we’ve already done. Anything you’ve seen in Star Trek, we have.”
The Danger of Incomplete Disclosure
The core of Dr. Greer’s concern lies in the potential for a catastrophic outcome if disclosure is mishandled. He warns that feeding misinformation to policymakers could lead them to believe in a fabricated alien threat, triggering a global conflict or, conversely, a complete shutdown of the disclosure process, mirroring past presidential failures to uncover the truth.
“If this goes badly this will go the way of COVID or the imbroglio with the Epstein files where it’s a totally unforced error of what happened or what happened with 911 and the cover up of what really happened there,” he cautioned. “If that happens here, it’ll be a thousand times worse than COVID or 911 because it will pivot the presidency and the Secretary of War into thinking that there’s an alien threat, which there isn’t.”
A Call for True Disclosure and Expert Guidance
Dr. Greer emphasizes that true disclosure requires access to information that bypasses the compromised internal systems. He offers his extensive research and whistleblower testimony, available on his website and through the Disclosure Project archive, as a resource for genuine understanding. He believes that the current administration needs advisors who are not part of the disinformation apparatus, individuals who can provide unvarnished truth.
“The president and the secretary of war can only release what they have access to. We need to work to get them access outside the system through the back door,” he urged. “This is complicated and this is why someone new in the government at this level like Mr. Hegath… needs some adviserss who are not going to gaslighting. So does the president.”
Ultimately, Dr. Greer advocates for a complete and truthful disclosure, free from the manipulation and fear-mongering that has characterized the UFO phenomenon for decades. He stresses that the future of humanity may depend on the government’s ability to navigate this complex landscape with integrity and genuine expertise, rather than falling prey to the very deceptions they are tasked with uncovering.
